Who We Are

Founded in 1902, the Country Club of New Bedford is a Club built on tradition and boasts one of the premier golf courses in New England. CCNB boasts an 18-hole, Donald Ross designed golf course. The traditional clubhouse features a main dining room, a grill room, and a main bar and lounge.

The Country Club of New Bedford is an ensemble of many treasures evolving from more than 100 years of tradition, vision, and celebration. Located in North Dartmouth, MA, and unveiling a $2.3 million clubhouse renovation in Spring 2006, the Country Club of New Bedford sets itself apart from other private golf clubs in the Boston-Providence corridor by offering unpretentious service, championship golf, and warmth and intimacy that is generated through long-standing friendships and newly-discovered friends. Here, tradition is honored in a contemporary setting.

Special Message from the B.O.G. and Membership Committee

Late November, our membership gathered in the clubhouse to review and vote regarding membership category reorganization. The motion to accept the new membership categories was approved by two thirds of the voting members in attendance.

Our next step is to communicate our message to the golf community about these great changes.  Comcast will be producing a commercial which will air throughout the Holiday season and perhaps beyond.  We will utilize social media as well.  However, we need you to be our number one recruitment base.  As discussed last evening, a goal of 100 or so new members would help alleviate many of our financial difficulties.  Do tell your friends, that a $2800.00 membership with a $12.00 cart and no tee times is the areas best golf bargain, and if they get in early they save an additional $300.00. Do tell your friends, that a New  family membership, for $4000.00 is unheard of, especially for a club like ours.

Folks, we need you.  Yes our dues are going down as well as is the price of our golf carts.  But let's not be asleep at the switch, this is a solid plan under one condition............that we all get out in the golf community and sell the heck out of this.  Last night was the first step, a membership which asked thoughtful and caring questions.  A membership that wants to get through these tough economic times, so they can stay and enjoy their golf and friendships. We are all in this together, we don't want to loose our current members, we have taken steps hopefully to retain them.  Now let's all go out and use our own email lists and bring in at least one new member to the club.
